Registrar's Office
Welcome to the Registrar's office website.
Our team is responsible for a wide range of administrative functions supporting the university's academic programs. These range from admissions and registration to convocation.
Our goal is to provide you with personal and responsive service, along with a growing number of online self-service options. We recognize that it can be difficult to navigate the rules and procedures of a university, especially as a first-year student. We're trying to make this process as simple and straightforward as possible.
Your responsibility
As a student, you are responsible for ensuring that your course schedule is complete and accurate. You need to be sure that you have registered for the required courses for your program. You are responsible for complying with the general academic regulations outlined in the Academic Calendar and for ensuring all important dates are met (including registration add/drop deadlines and fee payment deadlines).
UOIT is Ontario's first laptop-based university. It is important to understand every student must lease a UOIT laptop which enables students to access course materials, conduct research, make presentations and communicate with faculty. The laptop fee is mandatory for all students and not negotiable (with the exception of Allied Health Science students that participate in an online learning program). Software only, may not be leased as the hardware and software are one package. For more information on IT services, please visit: http://itsc.uoit.ca/.
All official communication from the Registrar's office will be sent to your MyCampus email account. It is also your responsibility to check your MyCampus account and the posted messages under "Messages from the Registrar" on MyCampus for important items throughout the academic year. "Not knowing" will not be accepted as a valid reason for missing important dates etc.
