The Copyright Branch updates Web site

The Copyright Policy Branch, Department of Canadian Heritage, has
announced the latest update of its Web site. This site contains news items, current information and links for anyone who wants to learn more about general copyright matters and the branch's work in Canadian copyright policy and law. Among other things, the "What's New" section has been updated on: the parliamentary review of the Section 92 Report; the status of the short-term legislative reform; Bill C-36, the proposed Library and Archives Canada Act and its copyright implications; the new private copying tariff and our activities on the international scene. In the "Publications" section you will also find a new study on "The Current Status of Legal Protection for Technology Protection Measures in Canada" prepared by Christian C. Tacit. An Archives page has been created and several links were added in our links page. A question/answer item on the WIPO Treaties was also added in our FAQ.
