Distance Education ID request

If you’re a Distance Education student who would like to request a student ID, please email and include the following information:

  • Your full name and student number.
  • Contact number where Campus ID personnel can reach you, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.


You will be contacted by a staff member from the Campus ID office normally within two business days after your request is received. Your eligibility for receiving a  student ID card will be reviewed. Upon successful completion/confirmation of this stage, a card will be mailed to your address on file.

For security reasons, the Distance Education identification card provided by mail will not contain a photographic image. It must be shown together with government-issued photo identification to be valid.

If you are able to visit the Campus ID office in person, you can obtain a standard-issued photographic Campus ID card instead, or replace your non-photographic card for free (first issuance).

Use of this card is governed by the university’s policies. The person identified is fully responsible for use of campus property authorized by this card. Lost or damaged cards must be reported immediately to the Campus ID office. This card is the property of the university and must be surrendered on request by Campus Security. The university assumes no liability arising out of, or in respect to, third-party services facilitated through the use of this card.
