Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) Prevention Awareness

Date: September 8, 2017

Time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Target Audience: All faculty and staff

Location: ERC 1056

Overexertion and musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) involve strains and sprains of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints or nerves. Sprains and strains account for 50% of all lost-time injuries in Ontario. An ergonomic approach reduces the risk of these injuries by matching the demands of the job to the abilities of the employee through proper design of workstations, tools, environment, work schedules, policies and procedures.

The goal of this workshop is to raise awareness about the factors that contribute to MSDs and proactive measures to reduce the risk of a MSD.

Unfortunately, lunch will not be provided. Please feel free to bring your own lunch.
